is associate professor at the Faculty of Arts of the University of Leuven, where he teaches courses on literary theory, English and European literature, and literary translation. He is currently director of the Centre for Reception Studies and head of the Leuven Research Group English literature. He is a member of the steering board of CETRA. Recent publications in the fields of translation studies have focused on pseudotranslation, translation and testimony, and translation during the period of British Romanticism. He is also supervising two research projects on translation in British Romantic periodicals. Other research interests include reception studies, literary theory, and post-Romantic British literature.
