María Sol Sansiñena…

IMG_6710holds a PhD in Spanish Linguistics from KU Leuven (2015). She is assistant professor (tenure track) at KU Leuven (campus Leuven and campus Kortrijk), where she teaches Spanish Linguistics and Discourse Analysis. She is also guest professor at Ghent University. She is a member of the Functional and Cognitive Linguistics: Grammar and Typology (FunC) research group at KU Leuven. Her research lines address the semantic and pragmatic aspects of interpretation, the analysis of form, meaning and function or use of modal and other TAM categories, and the expression of perspective. Her research interests include interaction and grammar, insubordination and other discourse-level phenomena, language variation and change, and translation patterns and translation effects.
