is a lecturer at KU Leuven, and teaches the following courses at campus Kortrijk: Translation and Interpreting Studies, Text analysis, Language and Translation Technology and Text Design and Revision.
She holds a PhD in Translation Studies and in her doctoral dissertation she applied a multivariate statistical technique for investigating the lexical differences between translated and non-translated Belgian Dutch. She mainly focuses on corpus-based approaches and quantitative methods so as to determine the influence of factors such as genre and source language on translated and non-translated text material. Additionally, her research increasingly focuses on Computer-Assisted Translation Training (CATT) and the challenges presented by this field.
