Esmaeil Haddadian-Moghaddam

EsmEsmaeil is a research fellow of KU Leuven.  Previously, he was a postdoctoral researcher of the University and explored language & translation policy in the context of Iran.  Among others, Esmaeil is the author of Literary Translation in Modern Iran: A Sociological Study (2014; read a review here), a founding and managing editor of the Journal of World Literature, and a member of the editorial board of “Translation History,” a new book series by Palgrave. Current research project is about the cultural Cold War in the nonaligned context, focusing on Iran and the Middle East. Research interests lie in the field of Iranian/Persian studies, Translation Studies, the cultural Cold War, history, and World Literature.
