Beatrijs Vanacker…

Beatrijsis Lecturer at KU Leuven, where she teaches courses on French and comparative literature and literary translation. Her research interests include early modern prose fiction (from a transcultural perspective), pseudotranslation (FWO postdoc I) and network analysis of (women) writers’ networks of authority (FWO postdoc II). She has been a visiting research fellow at LMU München, Augsburg University and McGill University and has published widely on literary translation, (transcultural) poetics of the novel in early modern literature, and pseudotranslation. Since 2019, she is a member of the Belgian Young Academy. She is also a member of the executive board of the Dutch-Belgian Society for Eighteenth Century Studies, of the DARIAH group “Women Writers in History” and co-editor-in-chief of the online interdisciplinary journal Interférences littéraires / Literaire interferenties. As from 2020, she will be an assistant professor of French literature at KU Leuven.
